My three favourite prayers are as follows;
Number 1
Not sure what it is called but it is a combination of prayer and liturgy, which I once picked up on an Orthodox website, started using, and now I use it most days after Vespers.
Holy God, Holy Mighty, Holy Immortal One have mercy on us (x3)
Heavenly King, Comforter, Spirit of Truth
Who art everywhere present and fillest all thing
Treasury of good gifts, giver of life, come and abide in us
and cleanse us of our impurity, and save our souls o Good One
Lord Jesus Christ Son of God have mercy on me a sinner (x3)
All Holy Trinity one have mercy on us
Lord be gracious to us in our sins
Master forgive us our trespasses
Holy One consider our weaknesses and visit them
for Thy name sake
Glory to you God, Glory to you
as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be
world without end Amen.
Number 2
Again discovered within the Orthodox tradition during my Tiber Swim, The Jesus Prayer "Lord Jesus Christ Son of God have mercy on me a sinner!" is a favourite of mine and I use it quite often both as an arrow prayer at times of need and also sometimes in a longer meditative fashion with my rosary beads. You will notice it is also part of my number 1 choice, but I think on its own it is a different prayer. As a short arrow prayer at times of temptation or anxiety, or as a longer meditation, say before the Blessed Sacrament or time of penance.
Number 3
Anima Christi
